Institute of Clinical Nursing
Divided into four groups—adult nursing group, maternal and child nursing group, mental health nursing group, and long-term care group. The Institute for Clinical Nursing consists of a master's program and a doctoral program in clinical nursing practice.
Educational philosophy
To cultivate advanced nursing professionals (Clinical Nursing Specialists, CNS) with professional autonomy, humanistic care, originality, cross-disciplinary scientific thinking, cross-cultural humanities, an international viewpoint, and superior nursing professional knowledge.
- Use the nursing process to provide high-quality holistic and continuous care to meet the physical, mental, spiritual, social and cultural needs of patients (individuals, families, communities).
- Stimulate community motivation, integrate community resources, and promote community development.
- Gain insights into environmental trends and seek personal and professional growth in nursing.
- Make good use of research results and engage in related research to improve the quality of care for individuals, families and communities.
- Integrate the advantages of the university, share the knowledge of experts in various fields, and assist in teaching.
- Encourage innovative teaching methods and apply research results to teaching and service.
- Integrate and strengthen the centripetal and developmental nature of each nursing group, and provide students with a high-quality learning environment.
- Strive for the teaching and learning opportunities and resources of cross-field Rongyang team and international cooperation, and exchange scholars and exchange students with internationally renowned universities.
- Make good use of the teacher's expertise of the Rongyang team, and invite other famous scholars and experts to participate in the teaching.
- Establish interdisciplinary research teams and encourage faculty and student participation.
- Establish partnerships with affiliated hospitals and teaching hospitals, and grow together through research and academic exchanges.
- Cooperate with domestic and foreign schools, Joanna Briggs Institute and clinical cross-field experts to carry out academic exchanges, and gradually promote the training of national evidence-based nursing talents and the development of local clinical guidelines.
- Examine the teaching and learning feedback mechanism, expand teaching innovation and implement the training of clinical nursing experts to build advanced nursing capabilities that link theory and practice.
- Strive for full-time and part-time teaching manpower, enrich the curriculum, and cultivate outstanding nursing expert leaders, such as establishing a long-term care team.
- Cultivate indigenous epistemology and methodology for understanding the humanities and healing.
- Establish interdisciplinary research teams and encourage faculty and student participation.
- Industry-government-academia cooperation to cultivate evidence-based clinical nursing experts.
- To become a benchmark for the cultivation of clinical nursing expert courses with local characteristics and in line with international standards.
- To implement the humanities and healing nursing learning and research environment.
- Strive for teaching full-time and part-time manpower, enrich the curriculum, and cultivate excellent nursing expert leaders, for example: establish a nursing administration and management team and a case management team.
- Establish a cross-field research team and become a key university for international nursing research.
- Integrate resources and promote to become a stronghold of evidence-based nursing in Asia.
- Effectively develop and integrate multiple resources to improve the quality of high-quality clinical services.
Post-graduation Development
Graduates are expected to integrate theoretical frameworks, teaching knowledge, relevant research and clinical experience to provide high-quality holistic and continuous care in clinical, school or nursing care settings in order to enhance the quality of clinical nursing care, to actively participate in clinical nursing teaching, to promote clinical teaching and research, to jointly enhance the quality of clinical teaching, and to become advanced nursing professionals; and in the future Graduates play an important role in clinical care, administration, or academia.

Qualifications
[Master's program]
- Fresh graduates of the University's Department of Nursing.
- Non-current graduates of relevant departments of the university's nursing department (should have a nurse certificate).
- Candidates who apply for the examination must be working persons with a nurse certificate.
[Doctoral program]
- Nursing-related master's degree holders (including fresh graduates).
- Should have Licensed nurse.
- Have at least five years of nursing clinical experience and are currently engaged in clinical practice.

According to the study regulations of the Institute, the total credits for graduation are 40 credits, including 3 credits for courses and 6 credits for thesis. The course includes 7 credits of compulsory subjects, 24 credits of compulsory electives, and 3 credits of electives.Alumni News
